1M4U Outreach Centre dimensi baharu sukarelawan


BATU PAHAT 13 Okt. - Penubuhan lMalaysia For Youth (1M4U) Outreach Centre bakal mewujudkan dimensi baharu dalam landskap kesukarelaan negara khususnya membabitkan pelajar institusi pengajian tinggi (IPT).

Menteri Pengajian Tinggi, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin berkata, kementeriannya menyasarkan 600 program kesukarelaan membabitkan penuntut IPT dapat dilaksanakan menjelang Julai tahun depan menerusi penubuhan pusat itu.

Katanya, buat permulaan, kementeriannya menetapkan sasaran sebanyak. 100 program kesukarelaan dapat dilaksanakan pada bulan depan.

"Saya juga mempelawa pihak swasta, badan korporat dan syarikat milik kgrajaan (GLC) untuk berganding bahu bersama 1M4U Outreach Centre dalam melaksanakan program khidmat sosial masing-masing.

"Dengan kekuatan enrolmen penuntut kini mencecah LI juta orang, kerjasama yang bakal wujud mampu memberikan dimensi baharu dalam landskap kesukarelaan negara," katanya selepas merasmikan Majlis Pra Pelancaran 1M4U Outreach Centre di Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) di sini hari ini.


Hadir sama, Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi, Datuk Ab. Rahim Md. Noor; Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Pengajian Tinggi, Prof. Datuk Dr. Rujhan Mustafa; Naib Canselor UTHM, Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd. Noh Dalimin dan Pegawai Khas Perdana Menteri, Datuk Irmohizam Ibrahim.

UTHM dipilih sebagai. universiti pertama mempunyai 1M4U Outreach Centre sebelum ia diperluaskan ke IPT seluruh negara dan majlis pelancaran peringkat nasional yang bakal disempurnakan oleh Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Sempena majlis prapelancaran itu, satu pertandingan My UniRawks untuk pelajar IPT yang menawarkan dana berjumlah RM100,000 turut diadakan untuk memilih 10 cadangan aktiviti kesukarelaan terbaik menerusi laman Facebook 1M4U.

Setiap pemenang cadangan terbaik mendapat dana RM10,000 dan diundang untuk hadir sesi berinteraksi bersama Najib yang seterusnya 10 cadangan terbaik akan dipaparkan di laman Facebook 1M4U sebelum diundi bagi menentukan tiga cadangan terbaik dengan pemenang akan menerima hadiah iPad, lawatan ke luar negara dan penganjuran program khas IPT terbabit ditanggung 1M4U.

Pertandingan bermula hari ini manakala tarikh akhir penyertaan adalah pada 13 November ini dan keterangan lanjut boleh diperoleh dengan melayari laman Facebook 1M4U.
